Provide a high quality continuum of instruction and management of classroom activities.
Position Requirement
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; and
- Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education [defined as completion of 48 semester hours; or
- Have obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
- Have met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment – Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics.
Reports to: Building Principal
Salary:
- $100 High School Diploma / GED, or Sixty or More College Hours (commercial or business colleges and Associates Degree if not from a four year accredited college)
- $110 Degree from a Four-Year Accredited College or University
- $120 Certified (SBEC)
Other:
- In 2007, the Texas Legislature passed a law requiring fingerprint-based criminal background reviews for school employees including substitutes. The legislation was enacted to ensure the safety of all children, teachers and staff in Texas public schools. The cost for fingerprinting is $50.20. The district will reimburse the substitute for the fingerprinting cost after working 5 days in the district. We will add your name to the substitute list after you have completed the requirements listed.

Substitute applications are accepted throughout the school year.
